What .heart would mean

".heart" is the English word "heart," commonly understood to mean the organ that pumps blood through the body, and by extension the seat of emotion, compassion, courage, commitment, and the vital core of a person, cause, or endeavor.

The mission of .HEART is to create a distinctive and welcoming namespace for the people, organizations, businesses, communities, and causes connected by the many meanings of "heart." From love, affection, and human connection to compassion, health, wellness, courage, and the things people care about most, "heart" carries an enduring emotional and symbolic meaning that gives the namespace broad relevance.

When will .heart be available?
ICANN has not set a date. The final list of applied-for strings comes on String Confirmation Day (November 17, 2026), community input and objections run until March 16, 2027, and ICANN processes applications after a prioritization draw in 2027. Registration opens only after ICANN delegates .heart and its registry announces launch dates.
