What .iam would mean
In their own words, from the public part of each application (question 118):
IAM is a restatement of the English phrase "I am" — the first-person present tense of the verb "to be" and the most fundamental English-language declaration of identity and presence.
IAM means "Identity and Access Management" and also reads as "I am," a plain-language assertion of identity. The string is intended for a DNS-rooted namespace supporting verifiable identity and accountable AI-agent and operator credentials.
me / self describing
I am (phrase): the form of the verb be used with the pronoun I, indicating the speaker's identity, existence, condition, or characteristics. "I AM" can also be interpreted as: A declaration of self-identity, existence, and personal affirmation.

The mission of the .IAM gTLD is to establish a distinctive, human-centered namespace for personal AI agents that serve as digital counterparts of identifiable individuals. .IAM is not intended to be a broad namespace for generic AI tools, anonymous bots, or enterprise automation.
