Can you register a .legacy domain?

What .legacy would mean
In their own words, from the public part of each application (question 118):
A legacy is what is carried forward - the histories, records, works, and traditions preserved and built on; legacy also describes an earlier version still in use.
Who applied for .legacy
Intercap Registry Inc.
KY, stage: Pre-Evaluation Processing
The proposed .legacy top-level domain represents what is carried forward - the histories, records, works, and traditions that people and organizations preserve and build on. Family histories, organizational milestones, archives, tributes, long-running projects, and earlier versions of products and systems all fall within the term's everyday use.

When will .legacy be available?
ICANN has not set a date. The final list of applied-for strings comes on String Confirmation Day (November 17, 2026), community input and objections run until March 16, 2027, and ICANN processes applications after a prioritization draw in 2027. Registration opens only after ICANN delegates .legacy and its registry announces launch dates.
