Upcoming TLDs / .login
Can you register a .login domain?

What .login would mean
In their own words, from the public part of each application (question 118):
A "login" is the act of or credentials used for gaining access to a computer system, website, application, or online service. It is universally understood as the process of authenticating one's identity to access a digital resource.
Who applied for .login
ECHO Domain Co L.L.C.
US, stage: Pre-Evaluation Processing
The mission of the .login gTLD is to provide a dedicated, trusted namespace where organizations can house their authentication and credential access points under a single, purpose-built domain extension -- eliminating the need for extended subdomain variations of existing domains that are easily confused with phishing attempts.

When will .login be available?
ICANN has not set a date. The final list of applied-for strings comes on String Confirmation Day (November 17, 2026), community input and objections run until March 16, 2027, and ICANN processes applications after a prioritization draw in 2027. Registration opens only after ICANN delegates .login and its registry announces launch dates.
