"Manga", a comic art form that originated in Japan, names its worldwide industry: verified creators, publishers, distributors, licensors and rights-holders of manga, delineated by industry-body standards - not readership.
Manga commonly means Japanese comics and graphic storytelling and, more broadly, works, creators, industries, communities, and activities relating to that medium.

When will .manga be available?
ICANN has not set a date. The final list of applied-for strings comes on String Confirmation Day (November 17, 2026), community input and objections run until March 16, 2027, and ICANN processes applications after a prioritization draw in 2027. Registration opens only after ICANN delegates .manga and its registry announces launch dates.
