Upcoming TLDs / .sell

Can you register a .sell domain?

Not yet: applied for
The short answer
Not yet. .sell is not in the DNS root, so no registrar can sell a .sell domain today. It is one of 986 strings applied for in ICANN's 2026 new gTLD round, published October 7, 2026. 3 applicants want it (Intercap Registry Inc., Link Freedom Group / LFG, Oyster Dream, LLC), and only one can run it.

When will .sell be available?

ICANN has not set a date. The final list of applied-for strings comes on String Confirmation Day (November 17, 2026), community input and objections run until March 16, 2027, and ICANN processes applications after a prioritization draw in 2027. Registration opens only after ICANN delegates .sell and its registry announces launch dates.
