Is .eco legit?
Legit
Is it legit?
Yes — .eco is a legitimate top-level domain, live in the official IANA DNS root since 2017 and sold by accredited registrars. It carries no notable spam or trust baggage; we rate it 3/5.Is .eco safe?
.eco is safe to use for websites and email. Legitimacy scams are about the site, not the extension — but .eco itself has a normal reputation with spam filters and browsers.
Is .eco good for SEO?
.eco does not hurt SEO. Google has stated repeatedly that all generic TLDs are treated equally for ranking — a good site on .eco outranks a weak site on .com. What .eco affects is human trust and click-through, not the algorithm.
