Is it legit?
Yes — .gg is a legitimate top-level domain, live in the official IANA DNS root since 1996 and sold by accredited registrars. It carries no notable spam or trust baggage; we rate it 4/5.Is .gg safe?
.gg is safe to use for websites and email. Legitimacy scams are about the site, not the extension — but .gg itself has a normal reputation with spam filters and browsers.
Is .gg good for SEO?
.gg is a country-code TLD, and Google may geo-target it toward its home country. If your audience is global, a generic TLD is the safer SEO choice; if your audience is local, .gg is an advantage.
