.news — should you use it?
Generic TLD · introduced 2015
The short answer
Legible and honest for publications — better as the product domain than the company domain. Why it works
- Instant content-site signal
- Readable in a sentence
Why it might not
- Implies ongoing publishing cadence
- Mid-tier price
The longer take
A newsletter or local-news product on .news is self-explanatory marketing. Just be sure you'll still be publishing next year — a dead .news site looks deader than most.
