Is .news legit?
Legit
Is it legit?
Yes — .news is a legitimate top-level domain, live in the official IANA DNS root since 2015 and sold by accredited registrars. It carries no notable spam or trust baggage; we rate it 3/5.Is .news safe?
.news is safe to use for websites and email. Legitimacy scams are about the site, not the extension — but .news itself has a normal reputation with spam filters and browsers.
Is .news good for SEO?
.news does not hurt SEO. Google has stated repeatedly that all generic TLDs are treated equally for ranking — a good site on .news outranks a weak site on .com. What .news affects is human trust and click-through, not the algorithm.
